"Glenn and I had always envisioned that special type of place for the autumn wedding reception we both dreamed of; and right from the moment we stepped into the Donomar Inn we knew instinctively: we had found it! The Innkeepers Mary and Moira took their time to sit down and discuss in-depth our ideas and visions, always trying to bring our dream to life. Since neither of us (I still living in Germany at the time) had the time or the opportunities to do all the necessary planning or make arrangements we were fortunate in having Mary and Moira officiating as our wedding planners - and what an outstanding job they did! Everything was lined up for us and all that remained for us to do was choose linen colors, the music and, ultimately the food. But they ended up doing a lot more for us than just that and what it eventually turned out to be was a wonderful reception at a friend's place. Our closest family, some friends and we stayed at the Inn afterwards and none of us could have pictured a more familiar, warm-hearted and fun-loving atmosphere. The McAllister-Suite was ever so lovingly decorated for us including fairy lights, chocolates and champagne. What a wonderfully romantic way to begin our wedded life together. Both attended to every detail imaginable at every step of the way and it paid off in a most enjoyable, memorable, wedding day.
