The Inn
There are five guest rooms on the second floor and one on the first floor. The innkeeper’s suite occupies the entire third floor. Breakfast is served in our sunroom, which looks upon the Smugglers’ Notch Resort Ski slopes and spectacular views of Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak.
Our History
Our historic Inn was built in the mid-1860s by George Washington Holmes. Mr Holmes was a carpenter and builder who built several of the covered bridges located near the Inn.
Although there have been many updates, the Inn still boasts the original wide pine floors throughout as well as beautiful plaster walls.
Our Vision
We strives to provide healthy, local ingredients in all our meals and snacks. We purchase most if not all of our vegetables from local farmer’s markets. All our dairy products are organic and our eggs are purchased from our good friends up the road.
Our breakfast meats are purchased locally when possible and never contain nitrites, nitrates and are all natural. Mj caters to all dietary restrictions and preferences whenever possible.
