Our historic Inn was built in the mid-1860s by George Washington Holmes.
Mr Holmes was a carpenter and builder who built several of the covered bridges
located near the Inn.
Although there have been many updates, the Inn still boasts the original wide
pine floors throughout as well as beautiful plaster walls.
There are five guest rooms on the second floor and one on the first floor.
The innkeeper’s suite occupies the entire third floor.
Breakfast is served in our sunroom, which looks upon the Smugglers’ Notch
Resort Ski slopes and spectacular views of Mount Mansfield,
Vermont’s highest peak.
Mary, a certified fitness nutritionist, strives to provide healthy, local ingredients in all
our meals and snacks. We are a member of a local organic CSA,
Valley Dream Farm, from which we get all our vegetables and herbs.
All our dairy products are organic and our eggs are purchased from our
good friends up the road. Our breakfast meats are purchased locally
when possible and never contain nitrites, nitrates and are all natural.
Mary caters to all dietary restrictions and preferences whenever possible.
So come enjoy one of our 6 guests rooms. We have high speed wireless Internet throughout the Inn.
